Past data has shown that there are very low levels of exposure from removing and handling vinyl and thermoplastic floor tiles and they can be safely and efficiently uplifted by scraping, which is generally carried out by either using hand tools or using a powered tile remover.

This non-licensed work is carried out using specific items of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), following strict control measures and of course disposing of the uplifted material in the correct manner.
